We recently went back to school, meeting John Hanson Community School Year 10 students on an interview skills day. We met students on a 1:1 basis, giving each of them a chance to experience the nervousness of an interview whilst trying to get to grips with the unexpected questions you may get asked.
We met up with some great students who rose to the challenge and some even ended up with more questions for us than we had for them!
It also gave us a chance to talk to some of the students about our apprentice scheme. We see the scheme as a way to ensure the foundations of our workforce and runs each year, giving students a good grounding of both college and real world experience and leads to a permanent role at the company.
Applicants need at least 5 GCSEs at C or above (including Maths and English) as well as an inquisitive nature and willingness to learn.
What shone through at the John Hanson School interview skills day was the caliber of students in the Andover area, so we’re expecting a bumper crop of applicants for these sought after positions.
