Despite the continued rise of renewable energy, it’s estimated that there could be up to 20 billion barrels of oil and gas still to recover from the UK’s offshore areas. This energy source continues to provide more than 70% of the UK’s total primary energy.
As the UK Continental Shelf declines, the supplies will become harder to access than previous wells as you need to explore more and potentially look at deeper drilling in more inhospitable places.
As the environment becomes more hostile you need to look for solutions in power and technology that will ensure efficiency and reliability. We have 3 decades of experience in providing pressure moulded cable systems for hostile environments. Whatever termination solution you need, we can help you design and spec a system that will not fail and continue to deliver connectivity for decades to come. We have over a 10,000 installations and zero leaks record that will back up our claim and a technological and engineering expertise that will be clear when you work with us.
We can also help develop bespoke solutions such as the image shown – this is a 25V bushing that we developed as a means to separate crude oil from water pumped up from the seabed. This process was carried out at elevated temperatures and pressure so we had to engineer a solution to operate reliably and safely and it has done just that, deploying without incident.
