Unassailable Fit & Forget Pressure Moulded Cable Systems for Hostile Environments

SMI Attend Marine Tech Expo 2018

SMI's business development manager, Barry Day discussing out latest solutions

The second Marine Tech Expo is currently taking place in Plymouth and we’re delighted to be attending.

The event brings together decision makers involved in the latest marine innovations in blue technology under one roof at the University of Plymouth. This year the focus for the expo is on autonomous marine platforms, their applications, cyber security and utilisation of data, systems and sensors.

SMI design and manufacture cable harness systems for both wave and tidal projects and both critical control systems and export power up to 13.8kV. This means we can deliver high performance and reliability, fit and forget, cable connections for any of the systems being discussed. This ensures that the critical components work when needed, and our discussions so far are proving the value of early engineering engagement in driving down through life operational costs.

Marine Tech Expo comes in the middle of a very busy period for SMI that culminates in July with the Farnborough International Airshow as we also have some exciting developments in Aerospace.

Our diaries are already filling up, so if you wanted to have a chat about our systems and how we can ensure your cabling never fails then get in touch.
