Unassailable Fit & Forget Pressure Moulded Cable Systems for Hostile Environments

Simex to Join SMI at DSEI

Victoria Submarine

SMI (SMI) are excited to be starting a busy week at DSEI with a focus on the first day around their work in Canada.

Joined on stand S10-330 by Canadian sales partner, Simex Defence, SMI will be showcasing their Telemetrix products which will be supporting the life extension of Canada’s four Victoria-class submarines. Additionally SMI will be exhibiting the technologies which are supporting combat systems and sonar applications on the new frigates for the Royal Canadian Navy.

For 25 years SMI has been deploying the backbone to Commonwealth naval platforms, guaranteeing the performance of critical systems in the most hostile environments. The TelemetriX™ solution builds on the pedigree of reliability and continuous capability approval for pressure hull penetrators and delivers future enabled systems in today’s fleets.

As military capabilities develop, the demand is for increased data rates and higher bandwidth. The TelemetriX™ architecture brings together power, control, high frequency, and optical capabilities to optimise system performance and safeguard essential systems. Surface and submarine fleets integrating TelemetriX™ into their technology can expect long service lives with full operational reliability.

TelemetriX™ multi-gland penetrators increase technology density through minimum hull penetrations and were developed for future naval capabilities but are being retrofitted to platforms to enable early deployment of pioneering tactical technologies and long term reliability.
