Unassailable Fit & Forget Pressure Moulded Cable Systems for Hostile Environments

Wales Hosts UK’s Largest Marine Conference

This week, Swansea Arena plays host to the largest Marine conference in the UK, as Marine Energy Wales takes over for 21st and 22nd of March. This ground breaking conference brings together developers, suppliers and decision makers to discuss the future of ocean renewables across the UK and worldwide.

We are attending the conference as we have a number of projects in development in wave and tidal energy production. As the cost of deploying turbines falls, SMI are being brought into projects to ensure that the through life cost on the cabling & connectors is kept as efficient as possible thanks to our fit and forget approach. Designed for >15 years subsea, system maintenance requirements are negligible for a lower total cost of ownership. Our UK Sales Manager, Jo Burke, will be there discussing wet mate systems and deck mate solutions that we have already deployed, and future plans.

We’re involved with marine projects that are upgrading current systems as well as entirely new concepts so Jo will be kept very busy at MEW discussing R&D as well as proven technology.

If you’re attending MEW and would like a meeting with Jo, please get in touch with her directly via e-mail: jo.burke@smi.group or you can call her on: 07704 005526.
