New appointments extend SMI’s Global Reach

SMI have announced the appointments of key members of staff who are boosting their expansion drive across the globe.

SMI has strengthened its’ expansion programme by appointing Jenny Shaw, as General Manager Sales and Marketing.

Jenny, who has been with the moulded cable harness manufacturer for three years will oversee marketing, sales and business development in Europe and Australia and will play a key role in delivering the company’s ambitious growth plans as well as building on its outstanding reputation for fit and forget cable systems.

SMI who manufacture cable harness systems for hostile environments extended their operation in 2017 to France and Australia. Working in the defence, energy and aerospace sectors, the company continues to pioneer moulded cable technologies whilst maintaining the unparalleled pedigree of 23 years continuous MoD Capability Approval for submarine through hull pressure glands.

Work to transfer technology and competencies into Australia began this year with the first manufacturing taking place in Adelaide in March.

SMI are also delighted to welcome Michel Renard to the business development team in France. Michel has extensive experience in interconnect technologies and his expertise strengthens the offering to the European market.
