All Roads Lead to the NEC for Highways UK 22
Taking place on 2nd and 3rd of November at the NEC, Highways UK is a must attend event for everyone in the transport sector, bringing together the discussion of planning, development and future proofing of Britain’s roads into one event.
The backbone of the event is a two day conference agenda filled with various discussions, presentations and keynote speeches. There is also an exhibition showcasing over 200 exhibitors. Highways UK brings together multiple voices on transport issues, with particular focus this year on electric vehicles (EV) – in particular the discussion on infrastructure strategy mistakes to avoid.
Public charging points for EVs require robust cable solutions, especially when sited in remote and environmentally hostile locations, only systems that have proven themselves reliable in such conditions make economic sense. SMI have decades of such experience in long term hostile environment deployments so can offer fit and forget solutions and long-term warranties. We have an unblemished record for reliability, with over 10,000 subsea installations and zero leaks.
As the adoption of EVs hits the mainstream market, reliability becomes a major focus for manufacturers of charging stations and infrastructure.
