Unassailable Fit & Forget Pressure Moulded Cable Systems for Hostile Environments

Inspiring Young Minds

We took our fit & forget technology on the road on Tuesday to attend the Get Inspired Test Valley day at the Museum of Army Flying.

Aimed at Years 6-10 this event, organised by EBP South, was aimed to give students an understanding of the exciting career paths open to them within Test Valley.

As an ambassador of STEM education, we were delighted to take part in the event to highlight the variety of roles you could look at within that area, and specifically within our company through the apprentice scheme.

16 businesses collaborated in the event which was attended by 170 pupils from a number of local schools.

Our team had a great time showing the youngsters a hands-on process to illustrate some principles behind the fit & forget technologies used to manufacture our pressure moulded cable harnesses.

This had the students making their own moulds with modelling clay and materials amalgamation was demonstrated using molten wax – once cooled these were submerged to prove the sealing technique.

We were happy to answer lots of insightful questions about how our products are used on submarines, the materials and technologies involved. Hopefully, we have inspired some future engineers!
