SMI Represented in The Parliamentary Review
SMI are delighted to announce that they have been featured in The Parliamentary Review. The annual publication is a guide to industry best practice which demonstrates how sector leaders have responded to challenges in the political and economic environment. The review also includes sector specific insight from the Prime Minister, Secretaries of State and MPs.
As proud representatives of the Defence industry, the inclusion of SMI is particularly pertinent as we celebrate 20 years of uninterrupted Capability Approval from the MoD for our through hull penetrator Pressure Hull Glands – a world first.
Capability Approval is only awarded to companies that have put their products under a rigorous series of tests to ascertain their capability to deliver to stringent defence standards. These must be repeated on a 3 yearly basis, and SMI’s record is unparalleled.
Only a handful of companies each year are chosen to be included, and our CEO Keith Wells spoke of his pride at being asked to participate:
“This year has been an exceptional one for us as not only are we celebrating 20 years of uninterrupted Capability Approval and 25 years in business, we’ve also seen continued expansion across the globe – now having offices in Australia, Canada & France as well as our manufacturing headquarters in the UK. To be invited to be in such illustrious company in the Parliamentary Review is a fitting end to a phenomenal year and a testament to our continued excellence in our field”
