Following a year of planning, SMI finally launched into the Australian market during the Pacific 17 Exhibition in Sydney. We were delighted to showcase our industry leading connectors and cable harnesses and received a very positive response from the attendees.

Worldwide CEO Keith Wells joined the Australian team at the event led by Jo Naquesage, Director & General Manager of the Australian branch, and Mike Jones, Director of Sales.

SMI are proud to be the ONLY company in the world with an unbroken record of 20 years MoD Capability Approval Certification for through-hull penetrator supply to the UK’s nuclear submarine fleet, reinforcing the company mantra of “fit and forget” for the world’s most hostile environment cable harnesses and connector installations.

Supplying subsea and surface hostile environment cable harness and connector installations for over 25 years, SMI have built a deserved reputation of “right first time, fit and forget” across more than 10,000 installations worldwide.

Now, with supply across Marine – sea and subsea, Aerospace, Energy – tidal, wind, hydro and nuclear, plus Transport – road and rail including eMobility, SMI really do have most hostile environment bases covered.

To further build international partnerships for our business, we are proud to have sales facilities in Paris, France, Perth, Western Australia and Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in addition to our Head Office in Andover, United Kingdom.
