Tidal turbines need to perform reliably over their life despite immersion in hostile subsea environments. SMI’s range of solutions are designed to meet those challenges and typically include harnesses, moulded specialist connectors and joints. Electrical connections for up to 17.5kV, export power and array links can be provided. Control and communications connections are supported electrically and optically and a range of dry and wet mat connectors are available.
