The board of SMI at Farnborough Airshow

The SMI board at Farnborough 2018. From L-R, Keith Wells, Glen Richardson, Denise Hunt, Colin Arnold, Dr Martin Stillman-Jones.

Scientific Management International’s presence at the Farnborough International Airshow has got off to a flying start, with interest in our cable system technology from across the Aerospace sector.

The entire SMI board were present at the show on Wednesday to meet with existing and new clients alike, and discuss how our technology benefits both commercial and military aircraft.

As specialists in the design and manufacture of moulded cable harnesses for power, signal and fibre optics, Farnborough has provided an excellent opportunity for SMI to demonstrate the numerous applications for our systems in the civil and military aerospace sectors. The SMI team have been able to showcase a variety of technology including through-tank cable systems (pictured, below) as well as our hostile environment harnesses. The toughness, durability and dependability of our products, developed from a 25 year pedigree in cable systems, provides numerous advantages to the aerospace sector, most notably in extending maintenance cycles through unprecedented long-term reliability.
