SMI supporting the blue economy at Subsea Expo 2022
Business Development Manager, Amber Flower, was in Aberdeen this week at Subsea Expo 2022. This great opportunity to get face-to-face with customers in Scotland did not disappoint – with over 100 exhibiting companies to see and 45 conference speakers presenting.
Amber (left) was there to discuss our fit and forget cable technologies with oil & gas and renewables customers. The theme of Subsea Expo this year was ‘Oceans of Opportunity’ and looked to engage delegates in discussions around how the UK’s underwater industry could capitalise on the global blue economy, the underwater segment of which is set to grow from £50bn to £140bn by 2035.
Through our design and manufacture of cable systems that form the central nervous system of critical infrastructure such as marine power generation systems, oceanographic survey systems, extraction industries and defence technologies we are supporting business across the marine ecosystem.
